Moved in!!

We are officially all moved in. It's been a crazy move. As much as we planned the moving part of this whole experience, it just didn't go the way we planned. But somehow we got all of our stuff in the house. I just don't know what to do with all this space!

During the whole building process we kept asking ourselves if the Milan floor plan was the right choice spacewise. Not that we have a lot of stuff, but was it going to get cramped as the boys get older. Ryan Homes had other floor plans which offered more space. But after bringing our things in, it seems like it's a perfect size.  The bedrooms are huge. Here are pictures of the boys' rooms:

I need to buy more furniture to fill up the rooms 😊..the boys shared a room in the apartment so we didn't have much more furniture than the beds and toys.

Bye for now! I am so tired.

Porch and final touches

I just can't tell you how impatient I am. I just want to be home. Well, three more weeks!
The front porch is don't and it looks amazing.
They stared on the landscaping and the driveway is done. Here are a few pictures of the finishing work inside.

Our house is done!

I know it's been a while since I updated the blog, I blame December. It's been a crazy month. But...our house is finished! We had our Pre-settlement meeting with our project manager on the 18th. It was a good and very important meeting. During the meeting, the PM went through a demonstration of the house. Also, we got to tell him about any thing we saw that was wrong with the house. We found a few and our PM made sure it was fixed. They were all pretty minor.

We close on the 26th at 2:00pm. Just can't wait. Meanwhile, we started packing.

Which leads me to..The Home Depot. We have been there so many times already! Yesterday we ordered blinds for the entire house. It should be installed in about 4 weeks.

Ready for pictures? Here are a few. Will put up more after we close on Friday!!!

It's still too wet for grass. They will put it in the spring.

Floors!! And so much more!

This week they completed the floors!! And we saw a lot of other changes as well.
Here is a sneak peak :
They had the floors covered to finish the other work. They look amazing!!! I have been waiting to see how it would look ever since we picked out the hardwood floors.

We did the entire first floor with hardwood floors. Main reason, carpet + kids = scary.

Next favorite: granite counter top!!!
It goes perfectly with the caninet color. Our sales associate at the design center was very helpful in picking out our options. We had so many to choose from.
The backslash..
They also put in all of the light fixtures

Finally the vinal siding:
They weren't able to complete it because is the weather but it's coming together really well!!

Fireplace, paint, tiles

This week we saw that they started on the tiles in all the bathrooms
Master bathroom shower
A little accent :)
12 inch tiles which were an upgrade
Tiles in the basement bathroom. I think this was a smaller upgrade.
tiles in the boys bathroom.
Fireplace
A little fun with Andrew. 😃
My double oven!! I am so excited to see it :)
Another favorite of mine, the front porch. They also added the brick.
Drew admiring his new home :)

So, I think they will start working on the vinal siding, we saw the matrial outside. I...or we chose a really light yellow color for the vinal siding. I always wanted a yellow house. The door will be a dark green. We chose all the colors in August so my memory is a bit foggy. I love that Ryan Homes (builders) allows us to pick the colors, they have a huge variety.

More next week!
